SYNOPSIS


The NanoEnergy session will introduce five talks regarding the application of nano-materials or nano-scale layers applied to the generation of energy. In the first talk graphene oxide is used as a main ingredient for making nanocatalysts for fuel cell applications. The second talk will show the application of oxides as selective contacts in amorphous/crystalline heterojunction solar cells. The third talk will show how graphene is incorporated in the new technology of perovskite solar cells and how it can enhance their performance. Graphene is also the subject of the fourth talk where it is used to generated thermopower in its multilayer CVD form. The final talk, also on solar power, details results on the inverted architecture of perovskite solar cells fabricated with cathodes based on semiconducting nickel oxide.
