Nanomagnetism

Magnetism at the nanoscale is a continuously growing area that has attracted an intense activity in both fundamental and applied research. Magnetic materials with microstructural features on the nanometer scale often have unusual physical properties that are also size-dependent, this latter feature being not present in the macroscopic world. In addition, the special properties of nanostructured magnetic materials have made them key components of a large number of new technologies (e.g. information storage, sensing, biomedicine and energy)
