2D materials and beyond

Since the isolation of graphene in 2004, the interest of the scientific and industrial communities in atomically thin two-dimensional (2D) materials has grown impressively. The aim of this session is to highlight some keynote advancement in this field, namely emerging classes of 2D monoelemental lattices beyond graphene, advanced anisotropic synthesis strategies of 2D transition metal dichalcogenides as well as recent advancements in technological integration of graphene films for optoelectronic applications
