Present and Future in Nanotechnology Applications in Food, Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Fields
 
Nanotechnology represents an interesting improvement in different fields. In particular nanotechnologies revolutionized different disciplines such as food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and nutraceuticals.
Due to the increasing consumer demand for novel food products, as well as increased improvment of healthy food ingredients, the food and nutraceutical markets has increased significantly and nanotechnologies may represent an important advancement improving water solubility, thermal stability, oral bioavailability, sensory attributes, and physiological performance.
Nanotechnology in pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields already revolutionized the related industry and will do it in the near future. Improved bioavailability, reduced toxicity, sustained and controlled release, targeting, improvement of permeation throw physiological biobarrier, are some important aspects that nanotechnologies may assure when applied to these fields.
In these two sections the applications of nanotechnologies applied to health sciences will be focused.
